GEM Key Mineral Resources Recycling Engineering Technology Research Center

GEM Key Mineral Resources Recycling Engineering Technology Research Center was established in GEM Jingmen Park in 2008. It is responsible for the raw materials (such as laterite nickel ore, spent LIBs and other refractory materials) development of new green technologies and new processes and the industrialized technologies transfer for the core business of the corp, providing key technical support for the corp to build a global green industry leader.

The Research Center consists of New Materials Technology Laboratory, Lithium Resources Green Recycling Laboratory, Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese Resources Green Recycling Laboratory and Rare and Precious Metals Recycling Laboratory, which can realize the seamless connection of typical hydrometallurgy processes (leaching, solvent extraction, electrolysis, ion exchange and absorption, membrane separation, precipitation and crystallization) from lab trial, mid-scale test to mass production line.
