“For those with shared goals, no distance is too far!” Chairman Xu Kaihua first expressed his sincerest welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all suppliers who took time out of their busy schedules to attend the GEM Global Supplier Conference. Chairman Xu reviewed GEM’s “green footprint” over the past 20 years, introduced the 2024 annual business achievements, and shared the future development vision with the attending suppliers. Chairman Xu pointed out that with the support of global suppliers, 2024 was a year of historic achievements for GEM and the first year of its global alliance. Currently, GEM has formed a solid global alliance with global industrial chain partners such as EcoPro, Brunp (a member of CATL), Tsingshan Holding Group, XTC New Energy Materials (Xiamen), LIBODE, GAC Group, Weiming Environment, Jingjin Equipment, Morimatsu Heavy Industry, Puyang Refractories Group (PRCO), and C&D Inc., etc. Chairman Xu shared that from 2019 to 2024, GEM's overseas expansion drove domestic equipment exports, engineering, and labor employment totaling over 18 billion yuan, leading over 100 equipment manufacturers and construction teams to go overseas and facilitating the employment of over 5,000 Chinese laborers overseas. More than half of the attending partners have participated in GEM’s overseas journey, marking an important achievement of GEM’s globalization strategy in driving the “dual circulation.” Looking ahead, Chairman Xu believes that the world economy is entering a new growth cycle. He said that the keywords for 2025 are optimism and seizing opportunities. China’s “Two New Trade-In Initiatives” of equipment upgrading and trade-in, coupled with loose monetary policy and active fiscal stimulus measures, are significant engines for the Chinese government to promote global economic recovery and represent a once-in-a-century historical opportunity. In the future, GEM will work hand-in-hand with its supplier partners to seize the opportunities of the times and venture overseas. Together with VALE, they will build a world-class green nickel resource and downstream material industrial park in Indonesia using a zero-carbon model to meet the global demand for green nickel resources in the new energy transition.
Chairman Xu emphasized that 2025 marks the beginning of an alliance era, where going it alone is outdated, and building circles and chains is the key to competitiveness. Missing out on alliances means missing out on an entire era. GEM hopes that its global supplier partners will join them in “forming sincere alliances, conducting deep cooperation, and opening new channels for growth!”
Subsequently, GEM awarded 88 important awards, including the “Diamond Partner Award,” “ Remarkable Exploit Award,” “Best Supplier Award,” “Best Construction Excellence Award,” “Best Innovation Award,” “Best International Collaboration Award,” “Best Green Ecology Award,” and “Best Emerging Power Award,” to honor its global supplier partners who have injected strong momentum into GEM’s development in various fields. More than ten award-winning supplier representatives delivered speeches, sharing their insights on cooperation with GEM, expressing their firm determination to forge alliances for a century-long partnership, and wishing GEM to ride the waves and achieve new glories.
In a lively atmosphere, the conference reached its climax. Over 100 supplier representatives eagerly took the stage to join Chairman Xu Kaihua and representatives of GEM’s board of directors, supervisors, and senior management in pushing a lever together to form the “GEM Global Supplier Alliance.” They sounded the call to “form sincere alliances and forge ahead bravely! Ahead! Ahead!” They vowed to sail against the tide in the future business waves, open new channels for growth, and write a new chapter of Chinese-style modernization with the powerful momentum of alliance cooperation.
