QMB Held a Launch Meeting for the Mentorship Management System and a Worship Ceremony

To implement the development concept of "promote cultural integration and grow together with Indonesia" proposed by Professor Xu Kaihua, Board Chairman of GEM, and the important initiative of local talent development in Indonesia, on September 16, 2023, under the unified guidance of the group, QMB Industrial Park held a launch meeting for the mentorship management system and a worship ceremony. Peng Yaguang, Vice General Manager of GEM and General Manager of QMB, and Dr. Xu Pengyun, Assistant General Manager of GEM and Executive Deputy General Manager of QMB, attended the ceremony. The first batch of 60 mentorship representatives participated in the event.

Peng Yaguang, General Manager of QMB, stated that QMB in Indonesia currently has nearly 3,000 employees, and while the company is expanding and strengthening, talent development has always been a top priority for the company's innovation work. The mentorship management system is a further improvement to QMB's talent development strategy. He emphasized that the mentors should be responsible, set an example, and offer assistance to their apprentices; apprentices should be grateful, be humble and strive to be successful as soon as possible.

At the ceremony, the General Manager of QMB, Peng Yaguang, and others presented appointment letters to the mentors. The mentorship representatives signed the "mentorship agreement" together, shook hands, and formally established their mentorship relationship.

As a mentor, the Deputy Director of QMB Engineering Research Center and Director of the Analysis and Testing Center, Ruan Xinfu expressed that he will set a good example in future and generously impart theoretical knowledge and operational skills to his apprentices. He also mentioned that he will tailor his teaching methods according to the apprentices' situations and help them improve their practical skills.

Apprentice representatives Tegar, Shanty, and Chen Hang,  expressed their gratitude to their mentors for their guidance and help, and thanked the company for providing a platform and making efforts in the cultural integration between China and Indonesia. They stated that they will learn and work diligently, humbly from their mentors, and strive to improve their job skills so that they can contribute to the company as soon as possible.

The implementation of the mentorship management system  effectively help new employees to integrate into the company culture faster, further promote talent development, increase job satisfaction for experienced employees, and develop leadership skills for mentors. It also allows experience to be accumulated, knowledge to be transferred, and culture to be inherited. It will provide solid support for the development of local metallurgical and new energy talent in Indonesia and contribute to the construction of a "beautiful Indonesia" by GEM.
