From January 2nd to 3rd, 2020, the GEM\'sfirst intelligent equipment international seminar, hosted by GEM andco-organized by the HSG (Wuhan) Internet Co., Ltd., Henan Mutong EnvironmentIndustry Co.，Ltd., University of Electronic Science andTechnology of China and Rutgers University, was held in GEM Jingmen IndustrialPark. Prof. Yu Jingjin, Prof. Zou Qingze and Prof. Lin Yi from RutgersUniversity, Prof. Zou Jianxiao, Prof. Zheng Hong, Prof. Yu Li, Prof. FanShicai, Prof. Xie Chuan and Prof. Peng Chao from College of automationengineering, university of electronic science and technology of China, Prof.Bai Kun from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and other expertsand scholars, more than 140 people participated in the conference, also includingthe GEM Waste Recycling and New Materials Research Institute, the New EnergyMaterials Research Institute, the Office of Innovation-driven, the informationmanagement department and the equipment management personnel of each park.

In the afternoon of January 2nd, theparticipants visited the GEM “Urban Mine”Museum, the National Electronic WasteRecycling Engineering Technology Research Center, the Electronic Waste GreenTreatment Center, the Waste Power Battery Resource Utilization EngineeringExperiment Center, and the ternary power battery raw material supply system,environmental information control center, tungsten recycling system, high-nickelprecursor manufacturing center. The delegates praised the developmentachievements of GEM\'s recycling industry and the possession of a nationalengineering technology research center!

On January 3rd, the first InternationalConference on Intelligent Equipment was held in the International ConferenceHall of Jingmen GEM. GEM Board chairman, Prof. Xu Kaihua, delivered a speech.Chairman Xu Kaihua first expressed his gratitude to scholars and professors whocame from afar and give GEM an endless drive on the first working day of thesecond decade of the 21st century. The world today is full of disruption. Ifcompanies want to develop, they must embrace disruption. If they want tosurvive, they must use intelligent equipment to reduce costs and use technologyto open up all links. This conference used "Battle for the Future" asslogan. GEM is determined to fully implement intelligence. GEM must stand onthe world stage and carry out in-depth cooperation with global experts to fullyimplement intelligent construction. In the end, Chairman Xu Kaihua called onall the participants to fight for the day and night, and sing "Rock of IntelligentEquipment"

Mr. Xu Ming, the head of Henan MutongEnvironment Industry Co.，Ltd., made a keynote speech on"R & D and Planning of Intelligent Equipment in the Field of RenewableResources", combined with the actual intelligent transformation case, toshow everyone that the intelligent innovation of tools has improved productionefficiency, and Continuously promote core intelligent equipment technology toall production lines

Professor Zou Jianxiao, deputy dean of theSchool of Automation and director of the Joint Research Center of theUniversity of Electronic Science and Technology of China, reported on theprogress of the joint research center. By breaking through the key technologiesof renewable resources intelligent equipment, the research center has masteredcore intellectual property rights, cultivated research and development teams,and occupied the high ground of intelligent equipment. At present, someintelligent development projects in the research center have reached theindustry-leading level.

Professor Yu Jingjin, director of theLaboratory of Robotics and Control Algorithms at Rutgers University, made akeynote speech on "Application of Computer Vision and Robotics inIntelligent Equipment", for introducing the development progress andfuture development trends of global intelligent equipment and sharing detailsin color Practical cases and effects of high-speed processing of copper andaluminum sorting, robot sorting, etc.

At the meeting, experts and scholarsconducted active exchanges with participants, and conducted in-depthdiscussions on the docking of intelligent R & D and industrialization, theintelligent development trend of future manufacturing enterprises, and theintelligent transformation of actual production lines.
