June 12th 2012, experts and researchers from the Sino-German Working Group on the Recycling of Traction Batteries for Electric Vehicles of a Germany international cooperation agency, GIZ; China Automotive Technology Research Center (CATARC); Volkswagen (China) and BMW (China) visited Jingmen GEM Urban Mine Recycling Industrial Park. Mr. Jifeng Zhou, the general manager of Jingmen GEM; Mr. Mark Huang, the director of enterprise business service center; Mr. David He, the R&D manager communicated with the visitors on the treatment and recycling of E-waste and used batteries.
    The visitors were quite impressed in GEM’s processing and dissembling technology on E-waste, the advanced management mode, and technology innovation on battery recycling, they hope in the future they could have more mutual learning and communication with GEM on renewable resources business model, traction battery recovery technology model.
