On July 6th,2017, GEM(Wuxi) Energy Materials Co.,Ltd firstly exported cathode material, lithium cobalt oxide, to Sam Sung. GEM(Wuxi) held a simple delivery ceremony in the afternoon.

Firstly, Jin Wanji(Korean), technical expert in GEM, introduced the whole cooperation process with Sam Sung SDI, including sample detection, bilateral meetings, production of lithium cobalt oxide in bulk and the test of cobalt oxide from Jingmen. It takes 4 months before its delivery. After the arrival of our products, Sam Sung SDI would utilize them to produce battery, which would undergo an inspection for their recycle performance. It would be a new challenge for the products produced by GEM(Wuxi)

Finally, Pan Hua, Deputy General Manager of GEM and General Manager of GEM(Wuxi), delivered a speech. He said that the successful export meant our products were initially recognized by Sam Sung SDI. However, it was just a beginning. Although well begun is half done, we still needed all the GEM’s workers to work hard and continuing support from the group.

The successful delivery marked GEM’s cathode material entering into the international market. It was not only a new start for GEM’s new materials development in the world, but also a promotion of it’s development in domestic market.
