In the morning of July 13th, 2017, Chen Changzhi, Vice Chairman of the National People\'s Congress, led the Standing Committee of the National People\'s Congress of Solid Waste Pollution Prevention and Control Law Enforcement Inspection Team to visit the GEM (Tianjin) recycling industry park. The delegation included Wang Yonglong, Huang Xianzhong, Luo Zhijun, Vice Chairman of the NPC Environmental and Resources Protection Committee, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Dou Shuhua, Vice Minister of Environmental Protection Zhai Qing, Vice Mayor of Tianjin Sun Wenkui, Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress deputy director Cui Jin degrees, Jinghai District Party Secretary, Mayor Lin Xuefeng, officials of Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress, Tianjin Environmental Protection Bureau, Tianjin Municipal Commission of Commerce, Jinghai District People’s Congress, Ziya Committee. The senior manager of GEM (Tianjin) recycling industry park warmly host the inspection team.

Inspection team successively visited the "Urban Mining" Museum, Intelligent Information Monitoring Platform, End-of-Life Vehicle Dismantling Workshop. Representative of Tianjin Industrail Park introduced GEM’s industrial layout and the operation of five major industrial chains for the inspection group in detail. The inspection team had a strong interest in the construction of the GEM’s recycling system and the “Internet + Recycling” model, and fully affirmed the Tianjin Park’s “systematic, mechanical, harmless, resource and information-based, educational” end-of-life vehicle dismantling process and the standardized management of the dismantled products.

Vice Chairman, Chen Changzhi pointed out that solid waste pollution prevention and control was an important part of ecological civilization construction and environmental protection. It also plays a significant role in protecting and improving people\'s livelihood as an effective way to promote resource utilization methods, save and highly effective use of materials and achieve sustainable development.

The inspection team expressed appreciation for GEM’s contributions to the circular economy, encouraged GEM to establish and implement new development concepts and enhanced the responsibility of environment protection and pollution management. The inspection team also suggested GEM to learn from previous experience, promoting the resource recycling mode in the whole country and leading the sustainable development as a benchmark company.

The senior manager of Tianjin industrial park promised the delegation that GEM would take this inspection as an opportunity to make persistent efforts on improving solid waste management capability and comprehensive utilization standard, developing a sustainable Ziya and a beautiful Tianjin.
