Winning the fight against poverty is a solemn commitment made by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. It is the common responsibility of the entire Party and the whole society. In order to help poor households and people with special difficulties to reduce the medical burden and solve the problem of poverty due to illness and returning to poverty due to illness, the Jingmen Charity Federation sponsored “the Fundraising Proposal on Jingmen Health Poverty Alleviation Supplementary Medical Relief Fund” to the whole society and received extensive response from all sectors of society.

On June 19, the fundraising activities of the Jingmen Health Poverty Alleviation Supplementary Medical Relief Fund were held in the Jingmen Public Cultural Centers. At the donation event,  Zaoyang Liang, deputy mayor of Jingmen Municipal Government, introduced the guests on the purpose and significance of the establishment of Health Poverty Alleviation Supplementary Medical Relief Fund in Jingmen City.  GEM (Jingmen) Co., Ltd., as a local company in Jingmen City, actively responded and donated 2 million yuan, ranking first in the corporate donation list. The person in charge of the company said in an interview: “At present, the overall level of medical insurance in the Jingmen area is not high, and a small number of families suffer from poverty due to illness and return to poverty due to illness. The establishment of the Health Poverty Alleviation Fund is a great charity. GEM’s green development strongly backed by local party committees, governments and the general public. Therefore, donating to the Health Poverty Alleviation Fund is an important way for GEM to fulfill its social responsibility and give back to the local people. In the future, on the road to health and poverty alleviation, GEM march together in wind and rain. ”

In recent years, GEM has promoted the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation in helping the families in distress, promoted the core values of socialism, and actively organized and participated in various forms of social charity and charitable activities. By means of donations, grants, assistance to the elderly, and medical assistance, we continued to provide assistance to the needy people, the victims of serious illness, the elderly and young who stayed behind, and the sanitation workers.
