On September 16, 2018, the municipal party secretary of Taixing, Zhang Yulin and his delegation came to visit GEM (Wuhan) Recycling Industrial Park. Professor Xu Kaihua, the board chairman of GEM warmly welcomed them and gave them a whole site tour including the “Urban Mines” Museum, the Intelligent Information Monitoring Platform, the End-of-life Vehicle Green Dismantling Workshop, the Plastic Product Recycling Workshop, the Electronic Waste Dismantling Workshop, the Power Battery Pack Manufacturing Base and the GEM Vehicle Power Battery Recycling Engineering Research Center.

During the visit, Prof. Xu Kaihua, introduced the status quo of GEM’s industrial chain and GEM’s future development plan in Taixing to Secretary Zhang Yulin and his delegation. Secretary Zhang Yulin listened to Prof. Xu’s report attentively and asked the development situation of GEM in detail, fully affirming the achievements GEM made in the environmental protection. 

In the subsequent talks, Prof. Xu Kaihua, made a report on the multiple measures GEM (Taixing) Industrial Park took to reform and devote to the environmental protection aspect so as to build a “green + smart” plant. He also said that GEM will stay true to its mission and continue to move forward in order to accelerate the construction of Taixing Industrial Park and make it to become GEM’s headquarter in East China.

Secretary Zhang Yulin said that after the site tour, he felt astounded and had a brand new understanding about the renewable resources industry. He also spoke highly of GEM being the the No. 1 in China’s renewable resources recycling industry. During the discussion meeting, Secretary Zhang Yulin conducted an in-depth discussion with Prof. Xu Kaihua, on the upgrading matters in Taixing Industrial Park, stating that they will fully support GEM’s development in Taixing. They also hoped GEM to launch new projects on the basis of existing ones so as to deepening the cooperation.

Mrs. Wang Min, Executive Deputy General Manager of GEM, Mr. Zhou Bo and Mr. Zhou Jifeng Deputy General Manager of GEM also accompanied the site tour and the whole meeting.
