The "Jingmen High-Tech Industrial Development Zone," jointly developed with GEM's Jingmen Park as a core participant, has been included in the first list of 52 national-level zero-carbon park pilot projects. Leveraging the solid industrial foundation of its lithium battery recycling industrial park, significant clean energy advantages, and extensive practical experience in carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, the zone adopts "carbon emissions per unit of energy consumption" as its core metric. It focuses on key tasks such as optimizing the energy consumption structure, promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction, and upgrading the industrial mix within the park. These efforts aim to enhance the park's energy and carbon management capabilities and achieve the goal of building a zero-carbon park. The targets for 2030 are: the park's renewable energy utilization rate shall reach or exceed 90%, and carbon emissions per unit of energy consumption shall be no more than 0.2 tons of carbon dioxide per ton of standard coal equivalent.
