National and Local Joint Engineering Technology Center for Urban Mineral Resources Recycling and Utilization

The National and Local Joint Engineering TechnologyCenter for Urban Mineral Resources Recycling and Utilization was approved bythe National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in November 2011, withGEM Co., Ltd. as the supporting unit. It is one of the earliest approvedNational-Local Joint Engineering Research Centers in China's renewableresources industry.As a key innovation platform in the circular economy sector,the Center has always closely aligned with China's "Dual Carbon"strategic goals. Focusing on the major needs of urban mineral resourceutilization, it has systematically deployed key fields including carbonassessment and carbon footprint management, high-value utilization of e-wasteand end-of-life vehicles, waste plastic recycling, efficient recovery ofprecious metals and rare earth resources, and remanufacturing of advancedmaterials, to conduct cutting-edge technological research and high-end talenttraining.
