The two-month elite training program has drawn to a successful close, with over 180 trainees from across the nation having successfully completed their important transition from campus to career at GEM.

On the afternoon of August 28, the graduation ceremony for GEM's 2026 Fresh Graduate Elite Training Program was held at the International Conference Hall of the Jingmen Industrial Park. Leaders in attendance included Wu Guangyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Jingmen Industrial Park Party Work Committee and Vice Chairman, and Dr. Zhang Kun, Director of the Jingmen Industrial Park and General Manager, along with over 180 newly recruited GEM graduates. The IGIP Industrial Park in Indonesia and the Fu’an Park also participated in the event via video link.

The ceremony kicked off with an exciting awards segment. Company leaders presented awards for various competitions held during the training, including badminton, table tennis, knowledge contests, debate competitions, and photography contests, as well as awards for outstanding final presentations and outstanding teaching assistants. These recognitions honored individuals and teams who distinguished themselves in various activities throughout the program. In the badminton and table tennis tournaments, players gave their all with powerful smashes, cheered on by enthusiastic sidelines. In the debate competition, both sides cited classics and engaged in fierce intellectual exchanges, earning rounds of applause for their logical reasoning and eloquence. The ceremony also recognized three teams and fifteen trainees who excelled in the comprehensive training assessments. Team "JQK" claimed the title of "Best Team" with the highest overall score, while Li Xiongbin, class monitor of the elite training program, was honored as "Best Trainee" for ranking first in individual scores.

Next, Zhang Ziyi, representative of the "Outstanding Team," shared reflections on the journey from strangers to a cohesive unit. She remarked that from enduring military training together to supporting each other during study tours and internships, she deeply felt that a team's cohesion lies not in where members come from, but in mutual trust and support when facing shared goals. A true team is not about individual excellence but about collective achievement. She also noted that the training program bridged the gap between textbook knowledge and industry practice, transforming "Limited Resources, Unlimited Recycling" from a slogan into a tangible industrial chain, further strengthening everyone's confidence and resolve to devote themselves to the green cause.

Li Xiongbin, recipient of the "Best Graduate" award, delivered a speech on behalf of all participants. He shared his insights from the training across three dimensions: "integration, broadening horizons, and understanding growth." Integration turned strangers into trusted teammates, proving that collective strength far outweighs individual effort. Broadening horizons through study tours and training shifted perspectives from books to industry, allowing everyone to truly grasp the profound meaning of "Limited Resources, Unlimited Recycling." Understanding growth, he noted, is the most fundamental change—from "what I know" to "what I can take on." He stated that graduation marks a new beginning, and everyone is ready to take on responsibilities in their respective roles, contributing their youthful energy to the green cause.

Dr. Zhu Pengfei, representative of the doctoral trainee cohort, shared his transformation journey from the perspective of "from the lab to the production line." He noted that while he previously understood resource recycling primarily through papers and experimental data, stepping into the parks and production lines offered his first tangible view of how spent batteries are transformed back into valuable resources. He came to a profound realization: truly valuable research cannot remain confined to the laboratory; it must withstand the combined tests of safety, cost, quality, and scalable production. He expressed his commitment to stay rooted on the front lines, dedicating himself to research that genuinely serves the company's circular industrial chain.

During the oath-taking ceremony, all 2026 elite trainees, led by Dr. Du Ke, made a solemn pledge to reaffirm their commitment: "I am a member of GEM.
