In this golden autumn season of harvest, the children of GEM employees once again achieved outstanding results in the 2026 college entrance examination: 6 were admitted to 985 Project universities, 3 to 211 Project universities, and 57 to undergraduate institutions — a total of 66 students successfully secured their places at higher education institutions.

To commend this dedication and honor, on August 15, 2026, GEM held the 2026 "Green Dreams, Students Set Sail" Scholarship Award Ceremony at the Jingmen Industrial Park. GEM leadership attended the event, gathering together with outstanding employees' children and parent representatives to witness this memorable moment filled with hope and warmth.

At the outset of the event, Lu Xijin, Chairman of the Labor Union, extended warm congratulations to the students about to enter university in his speech. He noted that GEM is an enterprise that turns "urban mines" into valuable resources, but what is more precious than gold is always talent, and what is more sustainable than resources is always education. GEM's "Golden Autumn Student Aid" program has now been running for a full decade — from just a few dozen participants initially to several hundred today, and from the Jingmen Industrial Park to GEM's industrial parks both at home and abroad — it has become a signature initiative through which GEM extends warmth and sustains hope. He encouraged the students to "aim high and be dream chasers with ideals; study diligently and be doers with capability; stay grateful and be carriers of warmth," and to integrate their personal aspirations into the broader currents of the times.

Zhao Chen, daughter of Zhao Xiansheng, an employee in the Energy Operations Management Department at GEM Jingmen Industrial Park, and a new student at Harbin Institute of Technology, spoke as a student representative. She expressed her sincere gratitude to GEM, stating that this scholarship is not only financial support but also carries the warmth and recognition of the GEM family. She deeply recognized that personal efforts are inseparable from the silent dedication of parents and the warm support of the enterprise, and pledged to remember the source of this support and give back to the company and society after achieving success in her studies.

Yan Zihong, son of Yan Pingping from the Raw Material Manufacturing Center of GEM Jingmen's Third District, and a new student at Beijing Normal University, shared his reflections on growing up. He spoke of his mother's hard work and warm companionship as a frontline employee of the company. His simple words conveyed the silent love of parents and helped him understand the dedication and greatness found in ordinary positions. He said he would carry this gratitude into university, study diligently, and in the future repay his parents and give back to society, passing on GEM's "green genes" from generation to generation.

Li Hongde from the Hunan Industrial Park delivered his remarks online as an employee representative. This veteran employee of eight years said that GEM has always kept society in its heart while strengthening its industry, and its consistent commitment to the Golden Autumn Student Aid program over the years makes every GEM employee feel proud and warm. He said he would channel this warmth into work motivation, continue to fulfill his procurement duties, and contribute to the company's green mission.

Wang Wenzhao from the QMB Industrial Park sent his remarks via video link from across the ocean. Having been stationed at the overseas Indonesia Industrial park for an extended period, his son Wang Junbo was admitted to Shandong University this year with excellent results. He said that this scholarship is not only an encouragement to his child's diligent studies but also a tremendous motivation for overseas employees. The company has delivered its care directly to the hearts of overseas staff, enabling them to work with peace of mind and dedication.

Subsequently, Dr. Sun Zhaojian, Assistant of General Manager, drawing on his own academic journey from Wuhan University of Technology to a combined master's and doctoral program at Tsinghua University, offered three pieces of advice to the students: first, that gaining admission to university is only the starting point — they should continue learning and shift from passive to active learning; second, that they should make good use of their free time at university to explore what they are truly passionate about; and third, that if they meet someone who moves their heart, they should treat them with sincerity. He concluded by expressing his hope that, after achieving success in their studies, the students would devote themselves to the resource recycling and new energy materials industry and jointly practice the green mission of "Limited Resources, Unlimited Recycling."

Finally, the scholarship recipients and their parents jointly visited the "Urban Mining" Museum at GEM's National Circular Economy Education Demonstration Base, where the students experienced firsthand GEM's green philosophy of "Limited Resources, Unlimited Recycling" and gained a deeper appreciation for the green cause their parents are devoted to.

This event was not only a heartfelt expression of GEM's appreciation for its employees' families but also a vivid embodiment of the company's commitment to social responsibility and its support for the national strategy of building a talent-strong nation. Looking ahead, GEM will continue to uphold its ESG values of "Love the Earth, Love the Country, Love the Company, Love the Family," and will remain focused on employee well-being, walking side by side with its employees to help more students realize their dreams and cultivate more pillars of talent for the green circular economy.
