Embracing a Joint Initiative for an Inclusive Development Environment
Recently, GEM has signed the "Joint Initiative of Global Enterprises on Creating a Shared, Inclusive and Sustainable Development Environment," co-issued by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE). GEM firmly supports the core objectives of the initiative and is committed to actively fostering an open, transparent, and stable environment for international cooperation, advancing economic development and livelihood improvement in a holistic manner, and driving green development and the transition to sustainability.
From Aid to Empowerment: A Model of Best Practice
GEM's collaborative development practices in Indonesia serve as a vivid illustration of the initiative's spirit. The China-Indonesia Joint Research Laboratory built by GEM has been reviewed as a key achievement marking the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference and the 75th anniversary of China-Indonesia diplomatic relations. It has been released to the global community by the UNGC as a "Pilot Benchmark Project for Technology and Culture Cooperation." Additionally, the "China-Indonesia Joint Master's/PhD Program" led by GEM has enrolled a total of 266 engineering master's and doctoral students across five cohorts to date. This initiative has become a flagship project for cultural exchange, fostering the development of local high-end talent in Indonesia and marking a transition from industrial empowerment to the export of intellectual capital.
Commitment to a Flexible Global Strategy and Green Energy Contribution
Moving forward, GEM will continue to follow the joint initiative as its guide, adhering to a flexible global expansion path of "Technology + Culture." The company aims to translate the success of its Indonesia project into a replicable global solution, contributing further green momentum to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
