The QMB Industrial Park and IGIP joyfully celebrate Indonesia's 1447th Eid al-Fitr

On this sacred occasion of the 1447th Islamic New Year Eid al-Fitr, the Indonesia QMB and IGIP Industrial Parks of Chinese enterprise GEM sincerely wish our Indonesian brothers and sisters a happy and prosperous 1447th Eid al-Fitr. May the “Spirit of Unity” and “Brotherhood” between China and Indonesia last forever. GEM will always uphold the firm belief of “Cultural Integration, Growing Together with Indonesia” and join hands with all Indonesian people to stride towards a green, low-carbon, and prosperous future.

At this sacred moment, imbued with profound meanings of gratitude, forgiveness, and unity, GEM’s two core operations in Indonesia—the QMB Nickel Resource Industrial Park and the International Green Industrial Park (IGIP)—as a leading enterprise deeply involved in Indonesia’s green nickel resource development and new energy industry upgrading, concurrently held a series of detailed, comprehensive, and warm-hearted Eid al-Fitr prayer and community interaction activities.

Crossing Mountains and Seas, Harmonious Coexistence: QMB’s Targeted Delivery of Material Care and the Spirit of Unity

On the morning of March 21, the QMB Industrial Park held a grand Eid al-Fitr event. Inside the solemn and majestic mosque built specifically for employees within the QMB Industrial Park, Muslim employees cleansed themselves, donned their festive attire, and gathered together in a sacred, serene, and peaceful atmosphere to pray to Allah for peace, blessings, and prosperity. Andi Ayu Lestari, a Muslim employee working in the HPAL Manufacturing Department at QMB, expressed that the company not only provides ample and clean spaces for religious activities but also shows great care during Ramadan, with snacks and drinks delivered daily after sunset. Andi stated that he feels very happy working at QMB.

After the solemn prayers at the mosque, the focus of the Eid al-Fitr celebration shifted to the lively QMB Halal canteen. Representatives from the IMIP Religious Committee and Mr. Peng Yaguang, General Manager of QMB, delivered speeches, extending sincere “Selamat Hari Raya” greetings to all Muslim employees at QMB, wishing them enduring joy and success in all endeavors. Mr. Peng Yaguang, General Manager of QMB, stated that QMB is always committed to “Cultural Integration, Growing Together with Indonesia,” hoping to use the significant Indonesian traditional holiday of Eid al-Fitr as a bond to bring partners from different cultural backgrounds and countries closer together in heart and spirit. He also pledged that QMB will continue to uphold cultural diversity and inclusion, wishing for all employees to work hand in hand towards a bright future.

After the pre-meal prayer, the Eid feast officially began. Chinese and Indonesian employees gathered joyfully, sharing traditional Indonesian cuisine, exchanging blessings amidst laughter and cheerful conversation, displaying the warmth and cohesion of the QMB family.

Nourishing and Felt Across a Thousand Islands: IGIP Passes the Sino-Indonesian Brotherhood to the Next Generation

As Indonesia’s first green nickel resource and circular economy industrial park dedicated to achieving zero carbon emissions, IGIP not only serves as a green model for driving the green transformation of Indonesian industry with zero-carbon technology, but also leads the way in community co-development, poverty alleviation, and cultural integration. Since its establishment in 2025, IGIP has been actively promoting the co-prosperity of local communities. It has built high-standard prayer rooms, sports facilities, community roads, and agricultural trading markets for local communities, and has taken the lead in establishing a community resident construction company to participate in the park's development, helping community residents escape poverty and achieve prosperity, leading to shared prosperity. Furthermore, it has organized community representatives to visit China, sponsored outstanding local youth to study in China, cultivated young talents in the community, and promoted Sino-Indonesian cultural exchange, allowing the Sino-Indonesian brotherhood to take root within the community.

IGIP builds high-standard cultural and living facilities for local communities

As the 1447th Islamic New Year Eid al-Fitr approached, starting in mid-March, IGIP meticulously planned and implemented a series of celebration activities covering multiple dimensions such as holiday care, religious and cultural heritage, and deep community interaction, planting the warmth of a Chinese enterprise deep into the soil of remote Indonesian communities.

On the morning of March 13, IGIP distributed Eid al-Fitr gift packages to 303 families in the nearby villages of Sambalagi and Were’ea at the mosque. The following day, IGIP management visited the two villages, delivering cash gifts and abundant daily necessities to needy families, effectively alleviating their burdens during the holiday and ensuring villagers could welcome Eid al-Fitr in a prosperous and dignified atmosphere.

On March 16, IGIP organized unique Eid al-Fitr call-to-prayer competitions and Quran recitation competitions for children from the two villages, awarding them generous prizes including school supply packages, scholarships, and certificates. This not only provided a platform for local children to showcase their talents but also allowed Chinese and Indonesian employees and community members to enhance communication, deepen friendships, and build consensus through shared participation in cultural exchange.

On the evening of March 20, representatives from Sambalagi and Were'ea villages, along with Indonesian and Chinese employees from IGIP, formed a procession. Starting from IGIP, passing by the mosque and clock tower, they completed a circumambulation prayer parade, interweaving praise and laughter as Chinese and Indonesian siblings walked side by side, bringing each other closer in a solemn and warm atmosphere. Afterwards, IGIP's Chinese and Indonesian employees and villagers shared a dinner together at the mosque.

In the early morning of March 21, at the prayer ceremony, representatives of IGIP management, employees, and villagers shook hands in greeting and shared a breaking-of-the-fast meal at the park's halal canteen. From the prayer ceremony to the festive interactions, from sincere blessings to gathering together, every segment allowed Indonesian and Chinese employees and community residents to enhance understanding and deepen friendships through exchange, allowing IGIP and the community to jointly write a new chapter of friendship based on mutual respect and understanding. This spirit of unity and brotherhood is becoming the strongest driving force for IGIP and the surrounding communities to jointly build a beautiful home.

The “Spirit of Unity” and “Brotherhood” under the China-Indonesia Community with a Shared Future

In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of China and Indonesia, the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has maintained strong development momentum. Bilateral cooperation has long transcended simple economic and trade exchanges, elevating to a “Community with a Shared Future” characterized by brotherly solidarity and shared aspirations. Inspired by the “Bandung Spirit,” Chinese enterprise GEM, through its QMB and IGIP industrial parks in Indonesia, is actively serving as a fulcrum to propel the ship of China-Indonesia friendship forward through the waves.
