On the afternoon of April 30, 2025, GEM held the "May 1st Labor Model Celebration" and the 2024 Annual Outstanding Individuals and Teams Commendation Conference, encouraging all GEM employees to learn the technology, unite as one, and stand up and take responsibility at critical moments, contributing greater strength to the high-quality development of GEM! The conference was attended by the group's chairman, Professor Xu Kaihua, and all GEM employees.

At the conference site, the group awarded 115 individuals as the 2025 "May Day Labor Models," 101 outstanding individuals including excellent management personnel in 2024, and 21 outstanding teams such as the 2024 Outstanding Contribution Management Team.

Wang Yi, the representative of the outstanding management personnel and the deputy general manager of the group, Yin Qinhua, the representative of May Day Labor Models and the assistant to the general manager, and Muh Firdaus J., an Indonesian employee of the QMB Construction Center's electrical and instrumentation team, took the stage to speak. They reviewed the hard and pioneering development history of QMB over the past three years and the experience of flood control and rescue in the IMIP Industrial Park in the past month. They said that the personal dedication and growth are inseparable from the encouragement and recognition of GEM management and the unity of their teams. They were also inspired by the spirit of Chairman Xu Kaihua, who led by example. They hope that the fighting spirit of GEM can be carried on for a long time, firmly maintain the will to "leave an iron mark and create a footprint when treading on snow," and continue to write a new chapter of GEM with passion and dedication.

At the climax of the award ceremony, Professor Xu Kaihua, chairman of GEM, took the stage to give a speech. He said that the 2024 annual report and the 2025 first quarter report showed a rapid increase in performance, with many financial indicators reaching new heights. GEM not only successfully won the industry competition in the past three years but also achieved an "excellent start" in 2025, with an average growth of more than 40% in the shipment of core products! QMB produced more than 25,000 tons of nickel in the first quarter, becoming the "engine" of the group's performance growth. These impressive results were achieved through the hard work, dedication, and struggle of the labor models! When mentioning the sudden natural disaster in the QMB Industrial Park in Indonesia, Chairman Xu Kaihua emotionally recalled every detail of his visit to the disaster area to command the operation, from the emergency plan being activated in seconds to the cross-border rescue work that went on day and night to execute the "sea pumping tactics". He was very satisfied with this "field-tested" collaborative combat capability and the strong emergency response capabilities and team collaboration demonstrated by GEM!Chairman Xu Kaihua pointed out that in the face of the international trade war, we need to shift from a construction-oriented "capacity ramp-up" to a governance-oriented "safety management." We must not only be the vanguard of "going global" but also become a global benchmark for safety management and ESG management. At the same time, we need to unite more excellent corporate alliances to build the world's most competitive industry alliance, ride the waves to go global, open up new incremental channels, and achieve the goal of 60 billion yuan in revenue by 2027.
