GEM has founded seven world-advanced WEEE processing centers in China, which are respectively located in Jingmen (Hubei province), Wuhan (Hubei province), Fengcheng (Jiangxi province), Lankao (Henan province), Yangzhou (Jiangsu province), Changzhi (Shanxi province) and Eerduosi (Neimenggu province). Annual treatment capacity reaches 1 million 200 thousand tons (15 million scrapped appliances) per year, accounting for more than 15% of China’s total scrap, and has achieved automatical and process-oriented green treatment to all kinds of electronic waste such as scrapped appliances.

Scrapped aluminum in electronic waste is mainly found in the refrigerators and aluminum parts of washing machines among electronic wastes and main categories include raw aluminum, aluminum alloys.
