|Warmly welcome academician Qian Yi and her party to visit GEM (Jingmen) Recycling Industrial Park|
On the morning of June 22, 2018, Qian Yi, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a professor of Tsinghua University, accompanied by relevant leaders of Jingmen Municipal People's Congress and the Association of Science and Technology of Jingmen, came to visit GEM (Jingmen) Recycling Industrial Park.
Academician Qian Yi successively visited the GEM’s Urban Mining Museum, the National Engineering Research Center of WEEE Recycling, the Environmental Information Center, and Manufacturing Center of Ternary Materials Used for Power Battery. Zhang Yunhe, dean of GEM Waste Recycling and New Energy Materials Research Institute, made a detailed report to academician Qian Yi on various business segments and green development history of GEM, the entire recycling industry chain model from wastes to green products, and on the GEM’s global layout of exploiting the urban mining, explained in detail the preparation process and the intelligent level of the production process of ternary materials used for power battery power, and declared that GEM will adhere to the core industrial strategy of “Urban Mining + New Energy Materials” and serve the development of strategic emerging industries of national new energy vehicles.
Academician Qian Yi expressed appreciation for the rapid development of GEM, highly affirmed GEM's industrial development model of recycling rare metal resources and remanufacturing power battery materials, praised GEM's green technology for recycling waste and hoped GEM strive for a further development in the future.
