In December 2018, the Technology Center of Jingmen GEM New Material Co., Ltd. Was recognized as a State-level Enterprise Technology Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) by five governmental departments, which are the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Administration of Taxation. The Center is mainly engaged in research production technologies and industrialization means such as the recycling of used batteries, the recycling of ternary cathode materials from car-mounted lithium-ion batteries, high-end lithium cobalt oxide materials from lithium-ion batteries of digital products, ternary power battery materials, and battery-grade tricobalt tetraoxide carbide products, etc. The company has formed a leading technology system to produce cobalt nickel powder, power battery materials, and rare precious metals with waste batteries, waste cobalt and nickel resources, electronic waste and other scrap resources. By beefing up industrial innovation, technological research, and partnership between universities, enterprises, and research institutes, the Center has created a cutting-edge technology and mode of waste recycling for multinational mining of urban resources, which provides an important guarantee for supporting national demands for major strategic resources.
