Basic Conditions of Postdoctoral Applicants

1. Possess sound political and moral traits, abide by the law, and have no records of law or discipline violation;

2. Fresh PhD students who have obtained a doctorate or have passed the PhD thesis defense, majoring in chemistry, chemical engineering and technology, metallurgy, materials, environmental science, automobile manufacturing, machinery, electrical automation, applied economics, journalism, etc.;

3. Under 35 years old and physically and mentally healthy (the age range may be extended appropriately to 40 for especially outstanding applicants);

4. Be able to be released from work and perform full-time postdoctoral research work;

5. Major in a discipline related to the research direction and possess strong scientific research ability and professionalism;

6. Have a certain research foundation and achieved some research results within the range of doctoral topics;

7. Meet the requirements of the National Administrative Committee of Post-Doctoral Researchers and other united training units on post-doctoral research station recruitment and other regulations.

Doctoral graduates are also allowed to propose other topics relevant to the business development of the company according to their research directions and specialties, which will be determined upon consensus.



Salaries and Benefits of Postdoctoral Researchers

1. Salaries: a basic salary of RMB 40,000 per month (RMB 20,000/month of subsidies at municipal and district levels, and RMB 20,000/month of equivalent bonus from the company). Performance incentives are offered each year, which are on a par with senior managers of the company.

The policy of Shenzhen for postdoctoral talent recruitment is followed. Postdoctoral researchers enrolled from Shenzhen Postdoctoral Workstation are granted a postdoctoral subsidy amounting to RMB 480,000 - 540,000 offered by Shenzhen Municipality and Bao’an District. After leaving the workstation, they can apply for Shenzhen Talent Reserve Program based on their actual conditions (benefits and salaries are subject to the latest policies).

2. During their stay, postdoctoral researchers are provided with well-furnished temporary houses;

3. Postdoctoral researchers shall participate in global technological exchanges on behalf of GEM;

4. Rewards are offered for essays, patents, and works;

5. Postdoctoral researchers who are rated “Excellent” after leaving the workstation and choose to continue their service in GEM will be assigned to key positions and listed into the housing program of GEM for senior talents.
