Professor Xu Kaihua, Board Chairman of GEM, and Bai Houshan, president of Ronbay attended the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between GEM and Ronbay held in Beijing on February 25, 2022. Zhou Bo, chairman of the Board of Supervisors of GEM, and Liu Dexian, vice president of Ronbay signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the parties respectively.

President Bai Houshan pointed out in his speech that GEM, a leading enterprise in the supply chain of new energy materials in the world with remarkable technological advantages in NCA precursors and core-shell precursors, was an ideal strategic partner of Ronbay. This strategic signing is the most important milestone in the history of cooperation between the two companies and a brand-new starting point. It is hoped that the parties will join hands to create new advantages in the development of new energy industry and a green, low-carbon and bright future with a more open attitude, greater cooperation, strong alliance and complementary advantages.

Chairman Xu Kaihua expressed his gratitude to Ronbay for choosing GEM as its strategic partner in his speech. He said that it was no longer the era of going it alone, cooperation was the theme of the times, green new energy was the common future of the two companies, and resource sharing and integration of upstream and downstream industrial chains were the needs of the development of the new era. Ronbay is a leading enterprise in the field of high nickel ternary cathode materials, taking the lead in developing high nickel materials for power batteries successfully worldwide. Its shipment of high nickel ternary cathode materials has jumped to the first echelon in the world. The strategic cooperation between the two companies is not only the result of the development momentum of their "deep mutual trust and cooperation" over the years, but also the result of the general trend of the times. GEM and Ronbay will work hand in hand to contribute wisdom and strength jointly to the development of new energy industry in the world as the partner and platform of each other.

According to the agreement, GEM and Ronbay will build a strategic cooperation system jointly based on the industrial chain of "nickel-cobalt resource exploitation - power battery recycling - ternary precursor manufacturing - ternary material manufacturing", and carry out strategic cooperation in the power battery recycling sector, Indonesia nickel resource smelting sector and precursor business so as to set up a globally competitive industrial chain of new energy materials, promote the global value chain of new energy in the full life cycle and establish a global strategic supply guarantee system of nickel resources jointly, serve the development of the global new energy industry with a brand-new pattern and create lasting value competitiveness and good return on investment for both sides.
